Description of Nitric acid:

Nitric acid is a strong acid with strong oxidizing and corrosive properties. Chemical formula: HNO3. Melting point: -42 ℃, boiling point: 78 ℃, easily soluble in water, colorless and transparent pure nitric acid solution at room temperature.

Nitric acid is unstable and decomposes when exposed to light or heat, releasing nitrogen dioxide. The resulting nitrogen dioxide dissolves in nitric acid, giving it a light yellow appearance. It should be stored in a brown bottle in a dark place, away from light.

Application of Nitric acid:

As an essential raw material for nitrate and nitrate esters, nitric acid is used to produce a series of nitrate 

nitrogen fertilizers, such as ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate, etc; It is also used to produce nitrates or 

explosives containing nitro groups.

Explosives commonly used as shells, hand grenades, landmines, and torpedoes can also be used for mining 

and other blasting operations. Organic synthesis raw materials can be obtained by nitrating benzene, anthracene, 

naphthalene, and other aromatic compounds with concentrated nitric acid.
